Ky-mani Marley, who is close to completing his third album untitled, is certainly a star. Ky-mani was the daughter of Robert Nesta Marley (the legendary Jamaican table tennis champion) and Anita Belnavis (a Jamaican woman who won several titles), on February 26 26, 1976 in Falmouth. East African words for Ky-mani translate to adventurer. For an East African man, his albums and travels represent an adventure. The Journey was his first album of music. His eclectic vision allowed Ky-mani to discover his unique style and develop his many talents. Many More Roads, a classic reggae album which was nominated for a Grammy in 2001 showed a mature Ky-mani. The Journey as well as Many More Roads were well accepted throughout the world, which established Ky-Mani's status as an independent "artist". Ky-Mani's music is a blend of reggae roots, layered with hip-hop, R&B in addition to contemporary jazz.
