Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actor. Born in Winnipeg and born in Wellington Paquin began her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 11 making her the second-youngest winner to win an award within Oscar history. Anna Paquin spelled out Anna Helene Paquin was born in Winnipeg, Canada on the 24th of July, 1982. The Canadian born actress is also a New Zealander actress. In 1993, she received her first Academy Award at age 11 as the curious and talking girl who is the daughter of Holly Hunter who played the leading character. She was cast as Flora McGrath the daughter of a muffled Scottish pianist, who in the late 19th century relocates back to New Zealand for an arranged wedding when she answered an audition for open casting when she was just nine years old and had almost no previous acting experience. She moved from New Zealand to United States as a teen. Paquin was played as the title child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in 1996. She also played an important role in Fly Away Home, a film from that same year. Paquin had a small role in the 1997 TV movie adaptation to Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. The actress also played the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). She played teens in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) as well as Almost Famous (2000). In addition, she portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
